The Brighter Days Ahead group offers a suicide prevention workshop targeting all youth in the Denver metro area with a specific focus on working with Urban and Marginalized youth from diverse backgrounds. Another unique aspect of the workshop is that our workshop is primarily led by a diverse group of young adults who relate extremely well to many of the stress factors faced by youth today. They are prepared to speak about a wide variety of risk factors including:

Gangs

Drugs

Cyber Bullying

Family Stress

Drug Use

Our workshop is free of charge and available to any school or youth based organization in the Denver metro area.

We do not charge for our workshop because we would like our message about suicide prevention to be as easily accessible as possible to reach as many youth as possible. We do accept donations in order to help cover program costs.

Program Description

Brighter Days Ahead exists for the sole purpose of empowering youth to help diminish youth suicide nationally.

We offer a workshop for youths which helps to empower them through personal testimony, creative activities, discussion, and a powerful musical performance.

Our group arose after the 2007 death by suicide of our dear friend Alfredo Melendez. Our workshop attempts to empower youth through personal testimony, creative activities, discussion, and a powerful musical performance.

We are not a counseling service, however we do have many referral sources at all of our workshops.

This website is developed to construct another vehicle to spread the word about preventing youth suicide.
